Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) is known for its high abrasive resistance and hardness, resulting in a longer life-time compared to a blank carbide cutter. It is suitable to be applied for surface finishing as it creates less pressure to prevent breakage.

Polycrystalline Carbon Boron Nitride (PCBN) is resilient against heat abrasion perfect for fine finishing and tolerance control. It can be applied with inserts and round tools including end mills, reamers and boring tools.
